Latest News - 12/10

Sorry, I have been fairly remiss in getting periodic updates out to the parents. We have a lot that has happenned and a lot going on this weekend.

Varsity is at Brookwood High School for the Brookwood Invitational. Wrestling will start at 5PM and go through at least 9PM. They will start again at 9AM on Saturday. There is no bus the coaches will drive the wrestlers. They need to be at the school 7:30AM.

JV is at Johns Creek High School for the Johns Creek Invitational. Wrestling will start at 5PM and go through at least 9PM. They will start again at 9AM on Saturday.. They need to be at the school 7:30 to catch the bus.

PBJ's

You may be volunteered by your wrestler to make PBJ's for the team. We will send home the supplies but then need families to put the sandwiches together and bag them. We go through 50-60 sandwiches a tournament.

Spirit Packs & Dues

1. Spirit packs are in and have been handed out to those who paid their $50 deposit.
2. Dues - we need them. Please pay them or make arrangements with one of the board members.

Fundraising

We are going to make a meat order on Monday if you would like to order for delivery on Thursday please get your money in no later than Monday. Rember you can pay through Paypal using treasurer@duluthwrestling.com.

January 15th we will be at Howard Bros. Hardware on Buford Highway. They have donated the use of their grill and $200 worth of food for us to grill and sell. We will need parent volunteers to run the grill and supervise.

Remember everyone has a goal we need your help!

Past Results

We have had some really strong results this year from a fairly young team.

Mill Creek JV Tournament - we had 4wrestlers place. Freddie Carpinello finished 1st, Anderson Wells 3rd, Rico Lauderdale 4th and Alex Brown 3rd.

Norcross Invitational - we had 4 wrestlers place. Noah Cunningham - 1st, Tunde Shakone - 2nd, Freddie Carpinello - 2nd, Anderson Wells - 3rd.

Duluth Duals - the team went 3-2 in the tournament.

Mandatory Parent Meeting: Tuesday November 16th, 2010 7PM in the DHS Auditorium. Those who were able to make it to the 11/9 meeting do not need to attend.

Look on the information tab for registration forms. Fill these out prior to the meeting to save time.

Dues are $125 - they cover hydration test, shorts, t-shirt, beanie and wrestling bag.

Duluth Invitational Dual Tournament

We have a large duel tournament on Saturday December 4th, 2010. We need a lot of volunteers for concession stand duty, hospitality room, table workers and more…
